Anneka is an award-winning marketer with nearly ten years experience across brand strategy, communications, and thought leadership. She has followed her passions to specialise in emerging technologies in particular.
After a few years within Public Relations, Anneka joined Europe’s leading media agency, Manning Gottlieb OMD where she worked as a strategist on brands including Google, Waitrose, Virgin, the FCA and Age UK. During her six years at the agency she wrote a whitepaper on the Future of AI in Digital Self Service for Virgin, and won several industry awards for client work including two Cannes Lions and a Thinkbox Awards Grand Prix. She was also recognised at a personal level winning PRCA’s In-House Professional of the Year, and a place in The Drum’s 50 under 30 women in Digital.
Pursuing her obsession for new technology, Anneka subsequently became the marketing lead across Bitfinex and Ethfinex, two of the largest and most successful digital asset exchanges in the world. There she dramatically improved the quality of output and engagement levels through an audience led, strategic approach, and also was a key author in the Unus Sed Leo whitepaper that generated $1bn in funding.
Anneka is passionate about technology’s potential for good. An entrepreneur at heart, she won the global Cannes Chimera Award (from 870 entries across 66 countries) and funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for a mobile-app idea to get young people engaged in world health and development issues.
Anneka holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Cambridge.
